Application
Each year
at the Annual Training Conference the Oklahoma Chapter of the
International Association of Arson Investigators Executive Board
presents the annual awards for Arson & Accidental Fire Scene
Photographs. It is open to all investigators who meet the listed
guidelines below. The Photography Competition is not limited to just the
members of the Oklahoma Chapter of IAAI. Any Chapter member in good
standing may submit up to three (3) photographs for each category for
themselves or for other investigators.

entry deadline is September 15, 2008
Photography Competition Rules:
1.
All photographs must be the work of the person entered and must
have been taken after
April 30, 2007.
2. The two (2) categories for
competition are ARSON and ACCIDENTAL.
3.
Up to three (3)
photos may be submitted by any one entrant in each category.
4.
The Photo Prints may be submitted in color or black & white.
5.
The Photo Prints may
be submitted in 8 X 10 Printed Format by regular mail
or as a digital JPEG file
by e-mail.
6. Each Photo Print submitted
in the 8 X 10 format shall adhere to these rules:
a. No identification marks
of any kind may be placed on the front of the Photo Print.
b. The Photo Print's are
not to be mounted.
c.
A designation of the appropriate category and a brief explanation
of the
subject matter
of the Photo Print must
accompany each Photo Print submitted.
d.
The following information must be included on the back of each Photo
Print submitted and in
the Photography
Competition Application form submitted with the Photo Print:

7. Each Photo Print submitted
in the JPEG format shall adhere to these rules:
a.

CANNOT HAVE BEEN ALTERED THROUGH USE OF A PHOTO EDITING COMPUTER
SOFTWARE.
c. A designation of the

provided in the Photography Competition Application form submitted with

8. The Photos will be judged on
content, technique, and composition.
a. In addition to 1st &
2nd place awards, Honorable Mention may be given to selected
photos.
9. All photo entries will become
the property of the Oklahoma Chapter of the International Association of
Arson Investigators and will not be returned. All photo entries may be
published, as the Oklahoma Chapter of the International Association of
Arson Investigators deems proper.
10. Winning entries submitted by
members of the International Association of Arson Investigators will be
submitted to the Annual IAAI Conference Photography Contest held each
Spring.
11. Any entry NOT complying with
these rules will be eliminated.
