Oklahoma Arson Reward Poster

Investigator of the Year

Fred Henderson, Assistant Fire Marshal for the City of Norman, Oklahoma, was awarded the 2006 Investigator of the year award for the Oklahoma Chapter of IAAI. The award was presented on October 26, 2006 at the Oklahoma Chapter IAAI Annual Member Conference. Fire Marshal Henderson was nominated by Kevin Leach, Fire Marshal for the University of Oklahoma, who is also a Past Board Member of the Oklahoma Chapter IAAI. The documentation for Fire Marshal Henderson's nomination included the following information:

Fires Investigated: 45 of the 68 Fires Investigated this Year

Arson: 18        Accidental: 26        Undetermined: 2

 

32 Closed Cases    9 Open Cases      4 Cases Pending Charges

                                                            

Of the 9 Open Cases 4 of them are possible for convictions.

 

Arrests Made:

1.     Jessie J. Hulbert warrant issued 9/16/05

3 Counts: Burglary Second Degree

                 Fourth Degree Arson (Attempted First Degree Arson)

                 Endangerment to Human Life by Commission of Arson in

                 The Fourth Degree

     

2.     Michael Scott Daniels warrant issued 5/12/06

1 Count: Arson Third Degree

    

3.     Timothy Peter Jupin warrant issued 6/7/05

1 Count: Arson Second Degree

 

4.     Jason Michael Jantz warrant issued 7/19/05

1 Count: Arson Third Degree

 

5.     Dewayne Garrison, Merilee Garrison, and Kevin Toal warrant issued

6/19/05

5 Counts: Conspiracy to Commit a Felony

                  False Claim for Insurance

                  Arson First Degree

                  Arson Third Degree

                  Obtaining Money by False Pretense
